Objective: design a classic runner while keeping in mind the (yet to establish) identity of the fully new brand FILMORE.

When I came to work for FILMORE in early 2022 (a totally new brand), preliminary design work had already been done by my colleague Luís Lopes. However, the brand identity of FILMORE was still being established, so none of the designs were final.
For the SABA I only adjusted the already designed outsole. The upper, however, I fully redesigned.
Since I got into the footwear industry, I always wanted to design an asymmetric upper. Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity, until now!
This was the first upper I designed for FILMORE. Funny enough, the outsole of ETNA was also asymmetrically, so it only make sense to also design an asymmetric upper for that shoe. What's more, Luís already added an element of asymmetry in the HIERRO as well, making it so that all launch models of FILMORE included some level of symmetry - which is now one of the recurring design elements in FILMORE.
