Hi, welcome to my portfolio website. My name is Omar Pasha. I'm a Design Engineer currently active in the footwear field.

Although I currently work as a Footwear & Accessory Designer, my experience in design is widely varied.

It all leads back to my educational background:

I have studied Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology where I have learned the ins and out of what design entails in a general sense. This bachelor was followed by the master Design for Interaction, where I gained an understanding in the relationship between the user and the product. Very useful for experience design and UX design related projects.

Above all, however, I developed a unique way of analytical thinking which sets me apart in the world of Footwear Design.

My initial ambition was in the Automotive field. During my bachelor I did the Automotive Design minor at the Delft University of Technology, while during my master I followed every Automotive Design related optional courses. I also followed one semester of Automotive & Transport Design at Coventry University as an exchange student.

This all gave me exceptional visualisation skills, both by hand and digitally, both in 2D and 3D.

While my love for Automotive Design started to decline due to personal circumstances, I started searching for new design directions. Leading to 2017 where I dabbled in the world of Concept Art as an intern at Guerrilla Games where I worked on the popular Horizon franchise - mainly Horizon Forbidden West. Here my visualisation skills developed even further, mainly in the digital realm (Photoshop).

This was followed by a graduation project, which I did on collaboration with Guerrilla Games. Here I combined my love for designing physical projects with my educational background (Experience Design) and my newly found love for Concept Art. During this project I translated the Horizon Zero Dawn digital experience into a physical object.

Although all of this was incredibly fun and educative, one of my main interests was still left untouched: fashion.

My love for fashion started in the sneaker world so it only made sense to pursue a career in footwear design. Not only my analytical way of thinking, but also my experiences in a wide variety of design fields give me a unique view on the world of footwear.

As of 2017 I am a full time Footwear (& Accessory) Designer. Besides this I use my spare time to learn new skills (sewing, 3D printing, resin casting) and keep challenging myself creatively. To continue doing this I started the brand collectabun which allows me to explore more than just shoes.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss a possible project or learn more about my work.
