CERO NINE F/W '21

For CERO NINE's fall/winter 2021 collection, we explored the "post-apocalyptic" thoughts COVID-19 has brought us through two sub-themes:
Dystopian survival
This first theme sheds a positive light on a very negative past year. However, instead of focussing on the negative, CERO NINE's focus is on the positive. The collection takes a lot of inspiration from the striking image of Amsterdam Dam Square during Memorial Day: normally very crowded during this day's two minutes of silence, but no sole to be found in 2020.
Within this theme we explored new materials, such as hemp, twill, denim and corduroy. Although very desaturated, there is still a lot of colour to be found in the f/w'21 collection.
A bright future
A look at the world post-COVID with the idea of leaving the pandemic behind, stronger than ever. Inspiration in colour and material was taken from Neo Tokyo: very bright colours, strong contrasts and a mix of old and new materials. Besides that, desaturated tones are also still very present to tie both themes together.
